Abstract

Left Ventricular Thrombus as a Clue to Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy: A Case Report of New-Onset Severe Heart Failure in a Young Adult, While left ventricular thrombus (LVT) is commonly observed in patients with acute myocardial infarction or dilated cardiomyopathy, its occurrence as the initial presentation of arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM) is extremely rare. Herein, we report the case of a 20-year-old male patient who presented with new-onset severe heart failure with reduced ejection fraction Read more

Abstract

The Thicker-Wall Sign That Distinguishes True Lumen from False Lumen in Acute Aortic Dissection by CTA, Objective: The purpose of our study is to describe a new imaging finding observed on CT Angiography (CTA), namely the thicker-wall sign of Acute Aortic Dissection (AAD), which makes it easier to locate the true lumen of AAD Read more

Neutrophil-Derived Migrasomes: A Novel and Essential Component of the Hemostatic System

Dong Jiang, Li Yu

Online First. Published Apr 03, 2026. DOI pending

Abstract

Neutrophil-Derived Migrasomes: A Novel and Essential Component of the Hemostatic System, The classical view of hemostasis centers on platelets, endothelial cells, and plasma coagulation factors. Recent research has identified neutrophil-derived migrasomes as a previously unrecognized, indispensable cellular component of the coagulation system. These migrasomes, actively shed by migrating neutrophils, function as autonomous hemostatic units. Read more

Online First. Published Jan 08, 2026. DOI pending

Abstract

Adding Heart Rate Variability Variables to Model Improves Atrial Fibrillation Detection in Patients with Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, The mean age of this cohort was 48.94±12.37 years, and 451 (40.6%) patients were female. The SDNN, rMSSD, and pNN50 were higher in patients with AF than in their counterparts. In multivariate analysis, HRV variables were independently associated with AF, and pNN50_cutoff had the largest effect size (odds ratio 7.86) among the HRV variables. Age, body mass index, hyperl...
